10 Jun 2009 – One of the people injured by the truck bomb in Peshawar was our head of mission. Therefore TSF decided to suspend its activities in Pakistan. Oisin Walton suffers minor injuries and is being transferred back to TSF's base in Bangkok.
28 Apr 2009 - Facing the humanitarian tragedy in Sri Lanka, Télécoms Sans Frontières mobilizes to bring assistance to the refugee population and to the humanitarian community. Since Sunday April 26th, a TSF emissary has been in country to assess the situation and to prepare for an eventual deployment of telecommunications experts and equipment.
10 Feb 2009 - In an effort to support the agencies of the United Nations and non governmental organizations, a team of emergency telecommunications specialists from Télécoms Sans Frontières deployed a Telecom Centre in Dungu (Democratic Republic of the Congo).
Télécoms Sans Frontières signed a contract with the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO) to carry out an international training program in emergency telecommunications. During this one year program, 40 humanitarian organizations in the regions of Central America, the Caribbean and South-East Asia will be trained to respond to emergency communication issues in crisis zones.
